BIG IDEA

Happiness is what inspired this Brew’ed Biscuit journey for us, having worked in the hospitality industry for combined 70 plus years; we love people, we love pets and we love beer.

In 2015, we decided to make spent grain dog treats as part of a tourism event to promote Norfolk County.  Creating the treats and seeing the happiness in people and their pets made us change our careers so we could do this every single day.  We see Brew'ed Biscuits as a recycled happiness that is good for people, pets and the planet.

Spent grain accounts for about 85% of the total brewing byproduct and is currently going to farms as animal feed or to land fills as waste.  They are primarily oats and barley that have been steeped to remove the sugars which makes them..Spent but not Wasted…much like ourselves!

Heather is a Red Seal pastry chef by trade, restaurant owner for over 27 years and Norfolk County’s first craft brewery.  Barb has been managing hotels in the hospitality industry for 30 years.
