What is Spent Grain and what does it have to do with Beer?
Spent grains account for 85% of the by-product of beer making that is currently going to farms as animal feed or to lands fills as waste.
Spent Grains are oats and barley that have been steeped in hot water to remove the sugars for the brewing process.
The grains are an excellent source of protein and fiber. They are human grade and low in gluten.
